"The laurel soap industry is one of the oldest Syrian industries, over a thousand years old. Our company inherited this craft over generations, which can be seen obviously in the names of the company owners: the Sabounis. The name is derived from the Arabic word (saboun) which means soap; hence, the name means (soap maker). This inheritance of the craft gave us additional experience and excellence in the industry. We were among the first people to make this substance, we still make it, and our children will inherit the craft."
