Type Top Trumps
Like most graphic designers I am a big fan of typography. So I decided to come up with a fun way for people to learn more about it.
Introducing Type Top Trumps. Here is how it works;
Each card is a letter of the alphabet, the alphabet goes in chronological order through the history of typography. With letter A being hieroglyphics all the way to letter Z, the modern day emoji.
This turns the alphabet into a timeline of typography.
On the back of each card is the typefaces name, date of birth and a brief fact about that particular card written in the font it is referring too.
The ranking system is split up into, legibility strength, personality rating and finally aesthetic power. Helvetica vs Bodoni, Futura vs Calligraphy, Blackletter vs Avenir. Let the arguments begin...
