Eliel Saarinen was a Finish architect who is famous for his influence on modern architecture and the development of styles known as National Romanticism and Art Noveu. Saarinen integrated feature of Gothic architecture with bold asymmetrical building planes to create a strong contrast of architectural style that was new for the 19th century. This exhibition explores how Saarinen embraced the future of sleek urban architectural deisgn while retaining his commitment to the humanist and natural elements of classical architecture.
