Chaotic Moon researched, designed, and developed the in-dash music player that combined Leap Motion technology with natural gestures for a safer, more enjoyable music experience.

SCREENS:
WAVE TO ACTIVATE DEMO
Right or left hand motion will activate system to begin demo
SCROLL THROUGH SONGS
Directional hand swipes to right or left will scroll through the song carousel. Grab or air tap to select.
SONG PLAYING
When song is selected from carousel, the play mode will pan up from the bottom of the screen. Background should stay persistent in place. Demo Hints using Gestural icons are used through out the demo to reinforce what the controls are. They will highlight when used. Access back to main song list uses a Pull Down gesture.
ADJUST VOLUME
Hold hand as if gripping a physical dial, then turn to right to change volume up or down
PAUSE SONG
Holding your hand in halt position will pause the song. Tap to start, emulate tapping in the air will play song.
FLIP TO NEXT SONG
Directional hand swipes to right or leftwill scroll to the next or previous song. The animation will fold cover art over on a center pivot to reveal the cover art of the next or previous song.lt position will pause the song. Tap to start, emulate tapping in the air will play song.
SHUFFLE PLAY LIST ORDER
Back and forth motion will shuffle song list into a new randow order.
PLAY SONG AGAIN
Moving your index finger in a circular motion with start song over from the beginning.
PLAY SECRET SONG (Easter Egg)
Just for fun, forming you hand into the quintessential ‘Ready to Rock’ position will activate Ozzy Osborne’s classic rock song, “Crazy Train.”

The in-car user interface is about to be revolutionized. Gestural interactions have been top of mind for many
designers, and Leap Motion is steering their efforts towards bringing technology closer in line with human instinct and rational intent. Here is the full set we created for this project.
