Models: Women in prison
This serie of portraits has taken place in a women's prison.
The shoot was organised with London College of Fashion and is part of a rehabilitation program to boost the self image and esteem of the long term inmates.
The program has won the Times Outreach higher education program in 2013.
It was a very intimate moment where I spent a few minutes with each one of them to create fun and inspiring photos, trying to capture their personalities and dreams without showing their face for confidentiality reasons. It had been a challenging project as we had very little to play with in a quite depressing environment but we managed to escape it to represent freedom, creativity and simple positive emotions. It's was one of my my most challenging and rewarding projects.
