This is a personal work I did, the idea poped up in my brain as I was waking up. So let's work...
Here is the sketch, the board is badly done just to place the feet of my character. The board will be replaced by letters" S-K-A-T-E".
Then let's open Photoshop and create the line from the previous sketch, the board as no longer been drawn.
Then I put some colors and style the clothes, I took inspiration in some fashion magazines wich are full of examples.
The character is done, now the background. I did no sketch for it because I had an accurate idea and I could use basic illustrator shapes and tips to create it. I did the rest of the job including this part with illustrator.
The letters creating the board, the word skate becomes the board.
