On boarding proposal - Qustodio app
This on-boarding process was a case study for Qustodio, a parental control tool designed to protect children's online activity
The problem
Qustodio wanted to clarify its process of on boarding to make it more understandable and increase the number of registered users
Limitations
The parent's device is the one that controls the child's device, therefore the app must be installed in this second device (child), whose activity will be monitored from the parent's device
Solutions
I worked from a prototype in Marvel provided by the Qustodio UX team. The on boarding process was really long and to be able to see the app working, the user had to register first. My proposal was based on solving these two weaknesses: reducing unnecessary steps and offering a demo version without registration.
My role
I focused on improving the user experience by creating a new user flow and a low-fidelity Axure wireframes that I placed in an inVision prototype
Learned lessons
Management at Qustodio liked my proposal very much although they had some resistance to offer a demo version without registration
