Notre Dame Maui Invitational 2021 Surfboard Design
This design was the winner of the student surfboard design competition for Notre Dame's surfboard at the 2021 Maui Invitational. The prompt was to come up with a design for the basketball team that would represent the Fighting Irish and everything the school stands for. For this project, I went out of my way to fuse together all the wonderful and hyped iconography of my alma matter into a collage of illustration framed by Hawaiian plant life. This board went through multiple revisions and I had to adapt due to sizing constraints, color usage, and religious iconography. Revisions that I was happy to make with new and creative solutions.
