The novel Chronicle of a Blood Merchant is a story about a common worker Xu Sanguan. The hero Xu Sanguan overcomes his life crisis one after another by selling his blood. Through my own understanding and feeling toward the novel, I select the most touching and promoting paragraphs of the text, cut, paste and rearrange them to form a new text. Then I use the photocopier machine to create the final visual effect of the text.
The text about what happened inside Xu Sanguan’s home, which is unseen by people outside his family, is folded inside the page. As a matter of course, the story outside his home is placed outside the page. On each page, the text can be seen through the opposite side of a paper forming a visual effect of bloodstains.
