Must-have accessory of the city, the bench was created during Antiquity to allow citizens to sit and talk. What about today? During my urban wanderings, I observed a curious habit from the townspeople : they always leave the middle of the bench and sit at the ends of it. An immaterial border is created in the middle, restricting contact with the neighbour. Because of that, the bench in the city is losing one of its first functions : to be a link creator. How to give back the bench his role, to create a social link, an exchange between each other, inducing a look or a smile? To answer this question, i want to materialize this border transforming it in an exchange zone by adding a digital layer.
