Architectural Artifacts - Emerging Artist Series

I was selected as an emerging artist in 2021 by the Jacoby Arts Center in Alton Illinois. The images below are those that were in the show held for all the artists selected.

Artist statement for the show:

Sometime over the last couple of years I found myself drawn to photographing the abstract and mundane that is just part of our daily lives. These items are easily overlooked but our world would look a lot different if these seemingly ordinary things were to suddenly disappear. I want to present them in a way that allows the audience to focus on these items instead of just being part of the background. It is my hope that through my photographs the viewer will see the world in a different light and appreciate that there is beauty in even the seemingly ordinary and mundane.
