Ibsen's "Dollhouse" ends with Nora abandoning her husband and children, closing the door behind her. With the opening of the same door, two decades later, begins Lucas Hnath's comedy The Dollhouse - Part 2. What has changed for her and the rest of the family during her absence? Hnath has made it clear that he does not want to compete with the original Dollhouse, but to do a comedy-like study on female emancipation. He avoids taking a clear stand for or against Nora's historic decision, but lets the heroes present their own arguments and vigorously defend their position. The senography consists of a series of mobile timber fragments that keep changing positions during the play. These fragments are reminiscent of a 19th century dollhouse or a court room, pieces of a puzzle that can never fit properly.
