Urban Stories. The collection of textile prints about a city, about the feeling of a city, about citizen emotions. My work was highly appreciated by the jury of the annual Heimtextil Russia Award – the best 10 works.
Relax/Recharge trend
A modern big city: houses that reflect the sky and scratch it. A city turns red and blue sunset into digital pixels, seeking to subdue the freedom of the sky, to swallow the energy of blue and to relax in the rays of red, to regulate the grandiose natural chaos.
Perfect Imperfection trend
The texture of felt wool, color finger-stains, the old technology of manual labor, all of it is imperfect as everything natural and alive. But this asymmetry, curvature, slight inaccuracy evokes the image of millions of good hands, the feeling of an urban coziness and a perfect harmony.
Soft Minimalism trend
The abstract forms of muted soft shades are universal. Simple elegance of the city’s geometric shapes and brushed texture of the brush strokes create the image of an inhabited locality map.
Adapt + Assemble trend
The flatness of a bright palette is supplemented by the cheerful cityscapes – cats, created with several strokes of black on white.
Urban Oasis trend
A city is almost entirely made of glass and concrete but nature is a strong element: plants punch through the paving stones, simple unpretentious flowers-weeds please the eye and causing the nostalgia for a wild forest.
