KAROLINA LATOSZEWSKA INTERVIEW

I was born in Warsaw, Poland. I lived there until finishing high school. Now I travel the world and sometimes come back to my hometown family place after contracts to appreciate being there. For the most difficult thing for me is loneliness. Of course I meet a lot of great people around me but occasionally I catch myself feeling a bit alone and homesick. Still, I always see myself as somebody who has good contact with other people. As the matter of fact, I wanted to be a psychologist but nothing is lost because I study as well so everything is on the right truck. I was always really focused about study and education so first I finished high school to have some basics and only then I started my career.
I like Art for sure. The biggest inspiration is brought by creative people and music around me. It is always a pleasure for me to know the story of the designers, how they started or what their ideas on various collections are. I love to watch how people behave in some fanciful situations. I also remember small Karo taking mum’s clothes and performing some catwalk and shooting in front of the mirror.

Currently I have been a model for more than 5 years. It all started when I was 17 years old. The first fashion week was that big break for my career. Everything happened really fast: in a few days after confirmation for London Fashion Week. It was truly an amazing experience for me and a big lesson in the same time. Due to this I was able to answer for sure if I’m ready be a model.

Photography helped me a lot to be more confident and built awareness of my body. I am but simply amazed how the photo catches the moment of somebody's feelings and body postures. As a model myself I believe that the fashion industry is really hard. It requires being always up to date and knowing what is happening around. Clearly, fashion gives strength and good energy. Wearing something that can show personality, something you like, and is an example of what's important.

This year was a good lesson for me because it showed me that I can not give up and stop to believe in myself. I am proud of a lot of things. The biggest achievements for me are how and where I am now. That I grow up and I am on the good way to be more succeed as a model. If I get some challenges in my life I just do my best to break and resolve whatever the problem is. So I don't have those big obstacles in my modeling life.

From my point of view, models are a kind of products that people can see as an example of how to treat themselves and find the balance. The essential part of a model’s work is travelling, continuous castings and sometimes the moments of getting a great feedback about personality and future career. Almost all the models I’ve met are really hard working, never giving up, constantly trying to keep themselves in good mental and physical shape. My greatest strength as a model is that I am really curious about fashion and people who work in this industry. As my professional goal is simple: I just want to be happy in my personal life.
I see how much modelling changed this year and how big an adventure it is every single day for me. Especially when it was the lock down I found a lot of things which one give me new power and satisfaction. And yet I see myself as a happy person. I traveled to many amazing places in Asia and Europe. I did a lot of shows for good brands, for example D&G, Alberta Ferretti, Guo Pei, Stella Jean or Ermanno Scervino. I did a few covers and editorials of magazines, some campaigns and yes a lot of more good things. Happiness is around the corner the trick is to find out which one it is!
