Design Strategy
To develop and practice improved design and conceptualisation processes and to generate harmonious compositions after conducting extensive research.
After choosing the Jester archetype from the options given, I decided to move forward with a band that was light-hearted, funny and playful. Through a rapid-fire brainstorm process where I considered common household items to create a name for the band, I decided to name the band The Lost Socks. The idea behind this was that it was a band formed by socks that have gone missing, a common occurrence when doing laundry. This idea also led to the design of the buttons, where I explored where the socks could have ended up; an island, in the sky, or on the moon. The colour scheme was bright, retro colours to convey playfulness.
Conceptualisation
Conduction of deeper research into the top 3 archetypes that I felt I related to more.
Decision to follow the Jester archetype and brainstormed band themes, names and visual identities.
Using the Jester archetype, I decided to name my band The Lost Socks. Further conceptualisation on colour scheme, T- shirt design options, and typography.
