Doodling on the Couch

As a child and teenager I used to sketch, draw, doodle... then one day I grew up and stopped. Time to rediscover my creative self. Starting out with some sketches in a small note book, then buying a blank page sketch book, armed with pencil, eraser and some black artline markers.
Scribbles from the couch... Rediscovering my creative self, after many years of not picking up pen and paper.
An attempt at adding some perspective to a drawing. No rulers used. The drawing started with the little tower you see at the top. I was going to draw a little lantern I saw whilst watching TV initially and as I was doodling away the lantern became a tower, the tower part of some sort of fortress, with a bit of a garden out the front...  Still a work in progress at this stage, and might never be finished  (9 March 2015).
As a teenager, we used to look after sick or injured birds that were brought to my family's house, and I still have some of the pencil sketches I made in those days of some of the birds we looked after. Two in particular: a booby (seabird) and a swallow. I often find myself doodling bird-like creatures and I truly believe this image came to life because of my childhood and teenage experiences. Still a work in progress at this stage. (11 March 2015)
