Photo Composite - Escaping the Frame

This project depicts a woman in a painting escaping the perilous situation she’s in by stepping out of the frame.
The other two paintings in the museum have also been strategically selected. “The Scream” painting looks like it’s reacting to the woman in the middle, and the painting of Napoleon has been placed to seem like he’s going to save the woman from the monster.
Here, you can see all the original pictures that were used for the final composite. The tentacles were made by using puppet warp meshes to distort the original tentacle image.
Clipping masks were used to give the illusion of the woman escaping the frame, and the tentacle wrapping around her. Finally, all the images were put together with a red textured wallpaper, to make it look like a classy museum display.
