Expectations

‘Expectation’ is such a pressurising word. Its full of power and hope. This presumption that something will develop in the future is what designers strive for. We all believe that we can create what we imagine, holding on to this expectation leads us to move foreword and learn from our mistakes. It also guides us in our design process. Expectations of myself are what I strive to achieve, personally I ask too much from myself and when I cannot achieve my goals I backtrack and create a new direction, instead of trying to tackle the problem. This poisoning pressure is something I hold within myself. I feel expectations are one of the most regular, conflicting feelings we live and experience every day, it causes sadness and happiness, hope and motivation.

This piece I have done is a representation of myself. And reflects my thoughts and feelings upon the word 'Expectations'.
