Created with Mandelbulb 3D and Photoshop. Just playing around. Part of the purpose was actually to provide myself with test files for a Photoshop script that I've been meaning to write for a long time. The script takes image tiles, created with either Mandelbulb or Blender - the Render Regions addon for Blender, that is - and compile them into one large composite. I had looked around for a while and was surprised that I could not find something to handle that already. So, now I have the functioning script. For images like this, which can be made of a large number of smaller image tiles (this one had 300 images at 810x810 px each), manually assembling the tiles quickly becomes a project unto itself. The script now handles that part of the process, so I can quickly get back to editing the image.

The script is pretty much done - though I need to do more debugging/testing and would like to work a little on its speed and expandability. If anyone is interested in it, just let me know. At this point, it is compatible with Adobe Photoshop CC 64Bit and will handle image tiles generated from either the Render Regions addon for Blender or Mandelbulb 3D. I have not tried it with any other versions of Photoshop or with any other apps that generate image tiles that can be arranged into a grid to form a larger image.
