// About SDG 12
This project is focusing on the SDG 12- Responsible Consumption and Production. SDG 12 was defined as a big issue that will affect the environment and development. It created to change the Sustainable Consumption and Production patterns to decrease the environmental damage when developing the global economy.
// Goals by 2030
1. substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling, and reuse
2. ensure that people everywhere have the relevant information and awareness for sustainable development and lifestyles in harmony with nature
3. halve per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels and reduce food losses along with production and supply chains, including post-harvest losses
4. Change the way we produce and consume to reduce the ecological footprint on the earth

* Ecological footprint= space that provides resources/ consumes waste Improve the quality of life while reducing environmental degradation and pollution
// Issue in SDG 12 and Effect
The issue of Irresponsible consumption and production will affect the environment damage and affect the future generation and development
Exp :
01 - Irrational consumption pattern
02 - Overuse of natural resources
03 - Food wasted
04 - Excessive use of electricity

Effects :
01 - Environment pollution (Co2)
02 - Water pollution ( only 3% of water is fresh )
03 - Food wasted ( poverty )
04 - Affect the future development
05 - Affect the economic
// Issue - Irresponsible consumption in Food wastage
As everyone knows, food is such an important thing that can provide energy  to humans to continue surviving. But there is a lot of people having the wrong concept of food satisfaction  in their life. Satisfaction will help improve the quality of human life, but only if there is no waste.
// Types of Food Wastage
There are 3 types of Food Wastage that happened in our daily life.
         01- Food Loss                                             02- Wasted Food                                                      03- Food Scraps
// Statistic
The residential and restaurants have a higher percentage compared to others -- related to the consumer. The amount of food wasted will affect some areas facing a food shortage. Not only that, but food wastage will also affect the environment like greenhouse gas emission (which is the gas that will release when the food scraps are under the ground) and agricultural landuse because we have to develop a new land to produce more food and this will indirect causes animals to lose their habitat.
// The Story
The people in the Philippines eating leftover food from others' side. It is the only food resource for them and they have to wake up in the early morning to go and collect that eatable leftover food from the garbage. The pain point is that they actually still cannot get enough food to eat to live day-to-day. They want to let another side of people to know how they live and hope there is someone who can give them help to improve their life especially the food shortage problem.
                    // Empathy Map                                                                //How Might We?
// Objective
Provide activities that engage users in experiences, indirectly raise public awareness, and encourage them to become responsible consumers. This centre will help to achieve the goals stated by the UN which are halving food waste per capita at global consumption levels by 2030 and significantly reducing waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling, and reuse.
// Proposal
// OBJECTIVES
Increase the public's knowledge of the importance of reducing food waste and the right way to dispose the food waste

// OPPORTUNITY
Let the public experience and participate in the activities, rather than educate them without interaction
// Site Analysis - Proton Subang SS14
The location is quite good because it is located at the corner, near the main road and intersection. Is a noticeable place. Around the site is full of commercial areas like food stores and residential areas. The location is beneficial to my projects and I can take advantage of the food store and residential area.
  // Concept - Gold In The Trash
Inspired by the food wastage and shortage issue. This concept is to convey the message that food waste could be trash in the city but it will be precious things in rural areas, like in the Philippines country's situation. Food waste like food scraps can be reused for other things like an enzyme.
// Concept Element - Paddy
Paddy is one of the main foods and it is planted in the soil. Paddy represents Gold and the soil will be the trash because some of the people will think the soil is a dirty thing. Paddy is the symbolism of wealth, health, prosperity, and abundance which are the same as the hope in people in the Philippines. There is an idiom saying "A drowning man will catch at a straw" in Chinese is 救命稻草.
// Concept Sketches
The three rice shapes could represent the hope of the Philippines people which is to change life quality and another 2 are to save food and save the environment. This one is the combination of these paddy outlines and the inner part of rice. This is the inner part of the paddy, and I simplified it and make it like the shape of a bowl full of rice and convert it into my concept model.

Use kitchen waste to do Eco Enzyme           Use kitchen waste like fruit peel               Use food waste (onion or tea pack)
                                                                      to make a decor or something useful           as a colouring to dye fabric
                                                                      Use resin

The facade design is inspired by the concept sketches
// Entrance views
In these spaces, rough materials like asphalt, wood, and concrete are being used but it doesn't make the spaces look dirty and messy which conveys the concept of Gold In The Trash. And the concrete wall is painted in green color that represents balance and harmony which to convey the message of balancing between human and the environment.

// Workshop and Retail Area
An open space that people can see through once they enter the centre. It will grab the user's attention and interest to involve in the workshop. The gold aluminium materials are used for the frame of display shelves and chair to make space looks a bit luxurious even though other materials is in rough surfaces. This is another view. Here are they conducting the workshop on making enzymes by using food scraps. The shelves behind will be selling all the products created by using food scraps. the shirt is made from food dyeing, the shelves below are selling those decorations made from resin and food scraps. this big shelf will display the enzyme which customers can buy if they want.
// VR Room -Feel It !
An activity that let people really feel the effect of food waste that animal facing, like gets fire in the forest. There are only two types of equipment that will be used in this space which are VR running treadmill and Azana Band. The ceiling is in layering which can help to reduce a bit of echo and the ceiling is pasted with the view when we look up to the sky in the forest. Is trying to let people feel they are in the forest.
// Protect Your Food !
This area is to let people know the effect of food waste on the environment and human health. A motion platform is an equipment that tests human balancing.
01- Preparation room, users choose the fake food from the shelf as the food that they need to protect in the room
02- Room's mood before the game starts
03- The room's mood when they didn't protect their food well let the food fall on the platform they will be counted as failed in the game. and they will get punishment which is experiencing the global warming effect in the room. The room will be hot and full of gases The ceiling design is inspired by the inner part of the rice to create a shaking mood in the walkway.
04- MOTION PLATFORM - Tests human balancing
