ILLUMAGEAR commisioned Ikhsan Rahandono to develop its first corporate logo and brand look. ILLUMAGEAR’s mission is to illuminate people at risk making them safer in any environment.  Its vision is a safer world for people working in any environment.  The company was seeking a brand identity to complement and communicate this mission and vision. The name “ILLUMAGEAR” is formed from “illuminate” and “gear” and is meant to imply improved safety and preparedness.
The logo design has two key elements: the logotype in Gotham and "the flare” icon.  The Gotham font was used (all caps) to communicate strength, confidence, and durability.  “The flare” is an original iconic design.  It implies a circle of safety or illumination around the individual inspired by light bursts, flares, and even the traditional safety cone.  Together these two elements — the logotype, “ILLUMAGEAR” and the ILLUMAGEAR “flare” combine to create the corporate logo.
