FROM THE INTRODUCTION PAGE
What can be said about how an artist draws a skull?
Surely something about their own mortality comes into mind when they are asked to recreate this universal symbol. We all possess a skull, but eventually our skulls will be all that remains, an empty container that once generated thoughts and could view and process the world around us. Is it a symbol of death or, as with some cultures, life? Should it be humerous or treated with respect? And do any of these questions matter? Afterall, it is just a skull.
