When you think about it — there is something magical about reading. Stylised marks on a page dissolve in the mind like an aspirin in water, conjuring up ideas, images, voices and feelings, but the moment you look at them, they turn back into letters.

This publication expects to improve accessibility to the plentiful material held upon the shelves of the Farnham UCA Library, without the need to consult a computer search engine. Books are beautiful objects. From broken spines to dog-eared pages they are soaked in a wealth of discussion and masterful knowledge. Yet, methods of research are dramatically shifting towards Web based content for its speed and
accessibility, leaving the Library to recede into
the realms of ‘archive’.
