Exercises with Elements
Students in this class are introduced to the visible language of type, its terminology, multiple functions and evolution as well as the roles of typographers. Through a series of exercises, students are encouraged to experiment with letterforms and simple type settings.

Using a set amount of text, type limitations and simple elements, the following projects introduces students to basic typographical problems and develops their skills in structuring information.

Choosing their best work, students compiled them into a bound A3 book for presentation.

Features work from Rebekka Mason, James Algeo, Joelle Zatta and William Cai.
