Personal Manifesto

I feel that freedom within design is a very important aspect for me as a graphic designer. The reasoning behind doing something is just as important as the final outcome in my opinion because if you are not confident with what you are creating and why you are doing it then why are you doing it? I love the concept of an idea flourishing to a finished product all through the power of questioning.

The idea of this brief was to create something which is linked to the personalised manifesto.
I wanted to create something which linked to everyone in general while still maintaining my own originality and also showing how ambitious I can be as a creative.

I wanted to create something which reflected the idea of questioning yourself, but I also wanted the overall design to have a reason for being there and not some random inanimate object. I had my heart set on the fact I wanted to remind people to really think about what they are doing; whether it be an idea, a work in progress or a final piece. For this reason I decided on a lamp which would act as a constant reminder to question work, ideas, concerns and to even question every day life.

Here are a few images of my hand-binded process book, which is 30 pages long and A5 in size which was designed to give people a true look into the process of the creation of my lamp from start to finish. I wanted to create a short simple booklet which was also informative and clear to those reading it to see where my idea stemed from.
