For my part, working with Jay was really a treat. Aside from watching his face pop-up on TV every night  (he was getting a lot of commercial work -- including a Scope ad with Ryan Seacrest), Jay was very open to the concepts I presented him. As an experienced illustrator and traditional animator he understood the creative process, the technology, and the late nights.

Jay was booked for a Just for Laughs Gala performance and the site was launched with a little wiggle room. Unfortunately, I wasn't quite as prepared when meeting with him and his parents for breakfast on the day of his departure (see the video below for more on that). Thank goodness some comedians have a sense of humor,
