This course was the first print course, where basics of print was introduced. Print design plays a major role in textile design, from inspiration to composition to selection of color, it is important for one to realize the significance of prints around us.
Firstly we were given a Chintz surface, which I re arranged and composed to form a new surface and did few color explorations.
Later I took inspiration from nature, i.e. Hibiscus flower, studied it through various drawings and developed a simple 16*16 inch frame surface in repeat.
