Armed with my sketchbook and camera I walked through Hamburg to ask people about their most favourite place in this beautiful city. In order to be able to document my journey in an illustrative way, I conducted interviews and took pictures. The answers I received from each interviewee determined which place I’d visit next on my tour, so each named place became a new point of departure for finding even more striking and favourite spots.
So, what arose is a guidebook, which, with a very personal touch and character, presents to you some of the most beautiful, exciting and bizarre places this city has to offer. With the help of an integrated city-map and by looking at the little hints inside the book, the reader is able to retrace the journey.
