A furniture piece which supports objects and supports itself. A sociable detail that interacts with other sociable details.

Harriet or Hattie as she is known to her closer friends, is an exploration of personality within an object, how this object interacts with the user and form at a human scale. The design was driven by the idea of Harriet interacting with those around her, both other coat-racks and humans.

Harriet is a collector. Along with being a collector of material objects, Hattie collects glances, images and reflections, through the mirror positioned at eye level, as a person would view the world. Although she may seem to be all about looks, Hattie doesn’t care for vanity and pretentiousness, with her feet placed to keep her firmly grounded.
