Street Art
I created this mural inspired by the classic silver You Are Beautiful sticker design. The title of the piece is a call to action "share #yabsticker." Many photos of families and children posing infront of the mural can be found tagged on Instagram

Miles of Murals is a community-based public art initiative in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago, located on the far north side of the city. This wall is a part of a legacy project, with other walls by Jeff Zimmerman, Hebru Brantely, Thor, & Logan Bay among others.
The wall, before we got started.
We pressure washed and scraped away 30+ years of paint. It was incredible what we unearthed.
The project was as much of a restoration as it was an art piece. After priming, we painted the entire wall grey.
We used wood stenciles CNC milled by SAP Design at Dock 6.
I cut a few in half at angles, where they would meet the ground.
In the middle of the wall, we created a massive center piece from a paper cut stencil.
Watch it being unveiled here.
We paid attention to every detail. Removing weeds & shrubbery, and painting all edges of the wall.
There was much hand skilled touch up work.
We had fun with a few details, covering all street lights and electric boxes with full coverage of the actual sticker.
Many thanks to Jeff, Erik, Johnny, Kat, & the neighborhood kids for helping out.
