The idea behind this was I was wondering what would happen if the shapes within the shape tool of Photoshop had personalities and souls, poor things just hiding unless someone wants to use them. What if someone were to be working on a project, walked away to get a cup of coffee and the shapes escape?

Technical skills: Taking the photos and changing the colour using the adjustment layers was easy. I wanted the make the photos look Photoshopped for this idea to work better. The harder part was to make the images look like they are part of the photo but not, so I decided to use another photo but not Photoshop it so it looked like a blank slate in a way.

 

Getting the shapes in line was the hardest, for the canoe one I had to use several shapes to make it look like it was one. It took several hours to get the shapes to look right as I wanted them to look like they escaped. Only the dog couldn’t, the owner of the original photo tied it up! Poor thing!
