In the summer of 2010, I quit my job without thinking and was at a loss what to do next.
At that time, I liked the movie "Buena Vista Social Club" and had a longing for Cuba.
And I thought that going to Cuba would improve my life. And I thought that my anxiety and worries would be blown away and my feelings would be wiped out. And I thought it was only now that I could go to Cuba. With that in mind, I traveled abroad for the first time in my life.
However, while traveling, I suffered from serious homesickness, and instead of solving my life problems, I was even more depressed and returned to Japan.
However, while traveling, I suffered from serious homesickness, and instead of solving my life problems, I was even more depressed and returned to Japan.
When I think about it, I think I wasn't in the mood to enjoy traveling, I was closing myself and not opening my heart to the outside.
In such a state, I think that if I go, I have no choice but to go, and if I go, something will change.
Among those bitter memories, what impressed me in the Cuban sky and city was the dry, dull, sepia color I remember.
This intense color memory may be the only souvenir on this trip.
