concept
’Working from home’
‘Absence Folding Screen Lamp’ responds to the lack of privacy and well-being of people in small, shared spaces- especially providing a solution for working at home during these troubled times.
The properties of the lamp make it possible to change from a personal object giving privacy to the user, a quiet space (the screen is unfolded forming a work space) to a purely functional user-friendly object (changing the intensity of the light and rolling up the screen modules creating a base).
The project is situated in the context of small shared spaces in Paris where the local situation causes problems of well-being and intimacy for both students and young workers. The designed object should introduce an atmosphere of intimacy for the user, giving the possibility to create a personal working space thanks to the mobile screen.
