Therapy for Queer People of Color LOGO PROJECT

Therapy for Queer People of Color is a consulting, Mental health and Wellness organization that mainly focused on suicidal prevention and mental health of homosexual people.

The logomark was created in a circular style to suggest the feelings of Wellness and in a style that suggests the feeling of Therapy. The story of the logo starts from inspirations from images of the “Semicolon” and “Brain”.
Why a Semicolon: The semicolon is a universal symbolization for continuation of mental health awareness... Created to symbolize affirmation and solidarity against suicide, depression, addiction, and other mental health issues, the semicolon inspires strength in the midst of suffering.

“A semicolon is used when an author could've chosen to end their sentence but chose not to... Just as the mark is a sign for readers to pause before continuing a sentence, participants have embraced the symbol as a reminder that their story isn't over yet—and that they should tell it.

Why a Brain: A brain image was incorporated to represent the Mental health and Therapy.
