Berichet - wooden boxes

BERICHET (bos. berićet, derived from arab. barakah - a state of abundance, happiness and divine blessing); colloquial adjective berićetan - someone or something that brings happiness, success, abundance.
Berichet boxes are meant to bring not just functional or aesthetical, but also emotional character, to remind you and wake up memories of Bosnia, of dear people, moments, delicious food, with all your senses.

DEVELOPMENT

Universal glass jars (370ml) of cylindrical shape were starting point of form development; narrow-oblong, and short-wide ones.
In addition to the hexagonal woodcarving pattern inspired by bee hive, I also developed a curvilinear pattern inspired by the bosnian mountainous landscape.
Ideal proportions of lid and body are in golden ratio (1: 1.618)
Boxes are made in natural and black-yellow variants.
Natural boxes are made of walnut scrap, and black-yellow are  made of maple.
