Sweet Lima  //  Peruvian Coffee and Bites

This is a new spot of Peruvian sweets and coffee brought to Barcelona by a couple of entrepreneurs, Julissa & Pancho.

I was called to develop the branding concept, graphics and packaging design, as well as the interior styling. Among a team of copy writer and architect we made this place a representation of contemporary peruvian culture, sweet flavors and colors.

Located in the middle of the Born district in Barcelona, the space had already an interior that resembled a little bit of the classic old cafes in the peruvian capital, Lima, so we worked on bringing the colors and amazonic culture into it.

The naming, is the double game of the word (sweet) lima, the fruit, but also the capital of Peru. The "lima" is the main ingredient for the lemon pie, one of the highlights of the menu.

Packaging design: ice cream cups, wrap paper, bags.
Placemates design are showing a bit of the slang related to food and Peruvian culture.
The graphic bellow the logo, is a representation of the rainbow mountain. We also painted the door of the local with it, and it serves as a background to place and shoot the food.
A big blackboard showing a bit of lima culture icons presides the entrance of the local. Another one in the next room shows all the imaginary around the Peruvian organic coffee.
Peruvian organic coffee, grown in Peruvian highlands, roasted in Barcelona, I also designed the packaging label. An installation of colorful ropes in red colors, resembling the Peruvian ancient Quipus was made for the last room of the local. Waves`n`me was in charge of this installation.
The main bar was covered with coffee bags that we used to communicate about the coffee and brand. The shelves were covered with tropical paper wall resembling the amazonic origins of the coffee.
Creative design for the instagram communication: a showcase of the food, culture and slang of Lima and Peru.
