Il progetto “Connessioni montane ”Viaggio dalla guerra al turismo” indaga i cambiamenti che le infrastrutture ferroviarie e funiviarie della Prima guerra mondiale hanno prodotto sul paesaggio, sulle comunità e nel rapporto con il territorio della popolazione locale e di quella turistica, in un’ottica di lungo periodo.
Grazie ad un progetto di rete che vede coinvolti musei, istituzioni accademiche e turistiche dell’Euregio, tra maggio ed ottobre 2021 viene realizzata una mostra con diversi allestimenti in Trentino, Alto Adige e Tirolo.
Alle mostre sono collegati ricerche, pubblicazioni, incontri pubblici, eventi e contenuti digitali di approfondimento.
Obiettivo del progetto è proporre una riflessione sullo sviluppo della mobilità, documentando la sua evoluzione storica con uno sguardo ai temi della sostenibilità e delle modalità di frequentazione dell’area alpina.
The project “Mountain Connections: the journey from war to tourism” is an exploration of the long-term changes that the railway and cableway infrastructures built during World War I made to the landscape, the communities and the relationship between local populations, tourists and the environment.
The outcome of this joint project between the Euroregion’s museums, academic institutions and tourist bodies, will be a series of exhibitions taking place between May and October 2021 in Trentino, South Tyrol and Tyrol.
The exhibition is complemented by research projects, publications, public meetings, events and in-depth digital content. The project urges us to reflect on the development of mobility by documenting its historical evolution and examining the topics of sustainability and experience of the Alpine area.
