The Horse Marionette
The Horse marionette was designed using digital sculpting and design tools. It was 3D printed using selective laser sintering. I start the design process on paper then move to the computer, I do the sculpting in zbrush and the creation of the moveable parts in Rhino. All the marionette's parts have been placed in the same file so no assembly is required afterwards. The Horse Marionette have fully functional joints and movable wings. The Horse Marionette took me ages to design, and I have to plan all the spacings and move able parts precisely as there is no opportunity to experiment with the movement beforehand.
