A pet project
In 2008 my good friend Ayofemi Kirby and I set out to engage people our generation to do something. We sent mysterious e-mails to our friends showcasing things people our age are doing to change this world. We also showcased causes to be involved in.
The e-mail initially was an html design I pasted in Gmail and sent. We quickly realized that we needed to track these e-mails to ensure they are being read and shared.
I decided to use iContact a pretty cool web based email marketing solution. It effectively accepted my HTML designs and helped me design effectively by analyzing the viewers responses. Based on this info we where able to increase our readership from 20 to 800+ in the span of a few months.
