The deck of cards has several meanings, among them, that the cards are associated with the days of the year. The 52 cards represent the 52 weeks of the year. The 12 court figures in the deck represent each month and the 4 suits represent the 4 seasons of the year.
In this personal project I created a character, a queen, for each suit in the deck. Using as a concept also the seasons of the year to which they are associated: ♦ Diamonds (spring), ♣ Clubs (summer), ♥ Hearts (fall) and ♠ Spades (winter).
