Papercraft Polaroid SX-70 /// Model Making, Fall 2018

A handmade, 1;1 scale model of the Polaroid SX-70 camera, using only paper products and adhesive. For this model, we were only given a few reference images and dimensions, and instructed to seek out any additional information to create as accurate of a model as possible. Clever manipulation of various paper products was required to foster a verisimilitude to the real camera. Bristol board was cut and folded over itself to create the bellows, foam core was hollowed out to stack into the viewfinder, and the lens was carved from a thicker piece of foam core and filled in with hot glue to create a reflective effect.
