YORME

Illustrated by me :)

As an illustrator, I've always wanted to try new mediums and new ways to draw. I've always cycle into different mediums, from watercolor to acrylic to digital art.

So when Summit Media tapped me as an illustrator for Yorme!, part of the Dream Big series which features personalities who have inspiring stories to tell, I wanted to do something different.

I tried 2 things that I never tried before in creating an illustrated book - using colored pencils and cutouts. CUTOUTS.
Using colored pencils was really tiring as you need considerable energy to use the pencil and leave a mark on paper. Plus, I had to cut it using X-acto knife / cutter / small scissors so it made the process more difficult. I consider myself not the most dexterous person in the world, so imagine the struggle.
And here is the finished product!
It felt so good to see, hold, and smell a new book. Most especially, if it was a product of hard labor. XD

Till next time! Thank you for reading!
