Koschey the Immortal

Koschey the Immortal as a symbol of the ever-losing evil. This is undoubtedly the negative hero of Russian fairy tales, but smart and always on his mind, he knows what he wants and lives by his own rules. In my opinion, if this character lived nowadays, he would be an oil tycoon, sucking out all the black gold of our world to the last drop, dissolving in the awareness of his own ephemeral power and swimming in the accumulated money.

His motto is more and more. More, until it is choked with this precious black slurry that slowly rises up his skinny legs. A little more and the darkness will swallow him completely.
Why oil?Koschey is associated with the element of water. Water gives him supernatural strength. After drinking 3 buckets of water brought to him by Ivan Tsarevich, Koschey breaks 12 chains and frees himself from the dungeon of Marya Morevna.

Oil has some properties of water, but it is black like the heart of Koschei and, unlike pure water in fairy tales, it does not heal, but kills. As it was said at the beginning, Koschey the Immortal is an eternally losing evil.

Thank you for watching!
