For this piece I wanted to create a setting for the Saxon character I’d previously illustrated. After some research into what life was like in 7th century Britain for a Leader, this focuses on our Chief trying to navigate his tribe through a turbulent time. He is torn between embracing the peaceful new Christian way or clinging onto their forefathers pagan traditions.
