This is a series of themes, responding to the situation we are in around the world, for Kelir Monthly 2021, hold by Kelir, an Indonesian children’s book circle. This month’s theme is Tutup/ Close/ Cover.
In this project, I want to draw something with a hope that someday we’ll be able to go on vacation whenever we want again :)
I chose Yellow Handed Mitered Surilis for the characters because I like their coat colors. They’re native to the island of Sumatra in Indonesia, and are listed as endangered.
I made them have a candy shop (gulali means candy in Indonesian) on a tree, and about to leave for a vacation!
