İ.S.K.E.L.E.[260] "Melikgazi Meeting Point Competition

İ.S.K.E.L.E.[260] / Our proposal for "Melikgazi Meeting Point Competition" / 2020

Proposal ; It consists of a permanent amphitheater layout and temporary exhibition areas that use the Yoğun Burç's surface as a scene, digital display surface in the south of the area, and a functional, spatially
transformable temporary structural scaffolding based on a meet center by retracting from the parking entrance to the south. The design consists of individual, collective spatial arrangements built around the alternative route articulated to the current cultural path. The main design premise of the project is to mobilize the tension of the interaction between the city dwellers and the city walls through the spaces organized around the
linearity of the walls and to increase the awareness of the city dwellers of the bastion and walls.
The structural design creates the gridal setup with measurements
referring to the maximum height and usual height of the bastion, while the partial parasitic texture is referenced from the volumetric relations of the Güpgüpoğlu Mansion building adjacent to the western part of the wall. It maintains its dynamic nature that can respond to climatic and functional changes by transforming the spatial or structural setting of the scaffold when necessary; It maintains its setting that allows functional specification when necessary - such as booths for book fair events, open library, reading units, workspaces.
