SOLO Zine
The SOLO zine is a project that reflects, both in its content and in its conception process, the moment of solitude imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic in the beginning of 2020 in the city of São Paulo. The content of the zine, mostly photographs and typographic montages, were designed to record, in addition to solitude, moments of uncertainty and insecurity, portrayed through the absence of cores and the constant presence of noise. The main typography, Erthqake, used in the title and typographic composition, was chosen because it has vertical lines that resemble the distortion of light caused by the corrugated glass of windows, very common throughout Brazil. The secondary typography, taking advantage of none of the texts, is a VCR OSD MONO, with its pixelated form, common in old monitors, aims to portray the new means of communication, the virtual world.
