For the department of Sport and Recreation of the City of Groningen, the Netherlands, I was asked to develop a concept, script and animation.
The resulting explanimation aims to motivate its audience (employees of the Sport and Recreation department) to look proudly towards the future, its goals, its aims and its dreams.
The concept is based on an illustrative, epic and almost film-like style. Contrast between close-up and totals and an arch in time: Starting in the morning we end the animation on a football (soccer) pitch underneath stadium lighting.
