On March 12, 2020, the pandemic officially began in my country. The complete sense of security suddenly disappeared and the closest thing to a war I have ever experienced began. I was truly terrified, only safe within the walls of my home.

My grandparents lived through a real civil war, with gunshots and blood, without food, without security, without a future. Real wars still exist today, innocent people die and lose everything. Sometimes a bomb falls from the sky, other times they die forgotten or used… I wish we are able to accept the difference and feel empathy for our brothers and neighbors, and remember a little of our own history. I really believe that living in peace is possible. We can simply do it, so why not?
