This is the first of a bunch of drawings of funny cats. The goal is twofold. First, work out a way to draw odd cats digitally using Corel Painter, a program I really like for its painterly look. A lot of illustration for things like editorial and kids' books seems too similar to me. The color is great but within a object it's uniform. Second, is to get a grammar for drawing funny cats. The goal is cats looking a bit drunk or loopy.
